Rejection is something each and everyone of us will have to deal with at some point in life. It is an experience that can be hurtful and harsh while going through it and sometimes the feelings lasts for a long time, however it is just a part of life that we must deal with to reach our full potential or to grow, or maybe not.
So, I say this if they do not want you, if they have (constantly) shown you that you have no place in their lives, LET THEM GO! I wish you could hear my voice because I say that with passion LET. THEM. GO! As a Christian, I believe that’s God´s way of protecting me from things that would have caused me more harm than good in the long run. Rejection is just redirection. Just because someone turned you down, just because you did not get that promotion or just because a situation happened, where you felt rejected, does not mean that you are not good enough. In fact, nice things are constantly rejected by people who cannot afford them. You can be the perfect package and still not get treated the way you deserve because you were delivered to the wrong address.
What we do not do, is beg for a place in someone’s life. What we do not do, is use that rejection as measurement for our worth because you are priceless, and you are whole by yourself. One person’s opinion does not define you, just because someone thinks something about you, does not make it true.
what we do however when we feel rejected, is we acknowledge our emotions. All of them. Do not suppress them, do not deny them, do not distract yourself from them because that is when you think you’re over it when you’re not. Feel the disappointment, feel the discomfort, feel the sadness, feel it all because the best way to deal with those emotions is to face them. Be kind to yourself, learn from the situation and never let rejection define you. Now chin up and read Isaiah 41:10.

Nice write up dear Armadine 👏🏾
This was my favorite part “ In fact, nice things are constantly rejected by people who cannot afford them”. Thinking of it, this is soo true and deep.
